New Year’s Resolutions and Why We Have Them

FACT: Around 41% of Americans make resolutions at the start of the year.

QUESTION: Where did the rest of us go?

Statistics Brain, which conducted a survey on the American populace at the start of 2017, noted that 17% “sometimes” make new year’s resolutions, and the rest—42%– almost absolutely never made a new year’s resolution in their entire lives.

While the amount of people believing that creating annual resolutions is almost the same as the number of people who believe it is not necessary to do so, the fact of the matter remains: Writing your “New Year’s Resolution” has become an annual American tradition that won’t go away any time soon.

Since resolutions are goals and commitments for self-improvement, we at The Home Experience Group can’t help but share what our personal commitments are to improve and subsequently get to serve you better. Check out what our team members have for their 2018 Resolutions, and don’t forget to share what your own resolutions are in the comment’s section below!

    Director of Operations, Amanda Weis

“I will be more intentional and organized with my time so I can accomplish more on a daily basis while increasing the amount of quality time spent with my family in the evenings and weekends.  I will write down all my goals and check in on them bi-weekly to assess my progress and make sure I’m staying on track to hit them!!!”  #ACCOUNTABILITY

    Real Estate Agent, Corey Riel

“Continue to work every day toward my fitness goals for weight, strength, and endurance in order to facilitate a fun, safe, and successful hike along the I.1 section of the Pacific Crest trail come August 2nd.”

    Buyer's Agent, Tye Bafaro

“My biggest goal is to find an equality between work and life. To prioritize time with friends and family and also to increase my work production. To set aside time to escape to the tropics and spend some quality time on a beach in the sun with a fufu drink!”

Marketing and Administrative Director, Karen Phan“2018 is going to be a BIG year for me, and I look forward to my personal and career growth! I am excited to finally get to manage my own team of VA’s for the company, and I also look forward to ticking off the other to-do’s in my vision board (lose weight, travel, build a business– the works!).”
